Poetry in the Valley – December

Welcome to Poetry in the Valley. This is an ongoing series led by Daniel Villegas that meets once per month. Each month Daniel, a spoken word poet and musician will guide the participants into prompts and different writing exercises to encourage self expression and personal development.

Poetry in the Valley consists of free writing, theme writing, and open sharing. In the class/series, participants are guided through a small introduction meditation for deeper self-awareness and prompt writing. Prompts will vary from month to month. For example: Once a month, the prompt might be Superhero. Another month it might be love…..

Participants are encouraged to share their work in the class and utilize the support system Daniel will provide by diving deep into their creativity.

Daniel Villegas is a 3 time Album recording artist and musician with 20 years of experience in writing slam poems. Daniel creates a safe space open enough to feel cared for, inspired and disciplined. 

Open to all levels of writing.
