Beacon Artworks is a women-owned business founded by two trained artists Rho Tang and Yangzi Huang. Coming from different backgrounds where Rho worked as a studio jeweler and Yangzi was a professional photographer, they found their calling in ceramics. The limited quantity ceramic pieces are handmade in Beacon, all the materials and tools are sourced locally in Hudson Valley, the home studio incorporate sustainable practices such as recycling and solar power. Rho and Yangzi aim to channel their inner emotions through pottery making as an expressive artistic form. Their unique pieces play with variation of spatial emphasis and creation of texture. The goal of Beacon Artworks is to form relationships with other artists, connect with community members and strive to bring tangible delight to clients.
